By accessing or using the Uganda CIS platform operated by E&M Construction Supplies LTD, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our platform.

Platform Purpose

The Uganda CIS platform serves as a marketplace connecting:

• Customers seeking construction materials and services
• Verified suppliers of building materials
• Qualified tradesmen and contractors
• Transporters and logistics providers
• Property brokers and real estate professionals

User Obligations

E&M Verified listings have undergone our vetting process, which includes:

• Identity and contact verification
• Physical location or premises visit
• Trade or business credentials review
• Customer reference checks
• Final approval by E&M team

Verification does not guarantee performance. Customers should still conduct their own due diligence before engaging services.

Payments & Transactions

The Uganda CIS platform facilitates connections but is not a party to transactions between customers and providers. Payment terms are agreed directly between transacting parties.

Platform Fees

Basic listings are free. Premium features and advertising contracts are subject to fees as outlined in the Advertising Contracts page.

Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

• Post false, misleading, or deceptive information
• Use the platform for fraudulent or illegal activities
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to bypass platform security measures
• Use automated systems to scrape or abuse the platform
• Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited promotions
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Limitation of Liability

E&M Construction Supplies LTD provides the platform as an intermediary service. We are not liable for:

• Quality of materials or workmanship provided by listed businesses
• Disputes between customers and providers
• Delays, non-delivery, or defective products/services
• Financial losses arising from transactions
• Injuries or damages occurring during project execution

Exception: E&M accepts liability for verified cases of platform negligence or misconduct by E&M staff.

Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes:

1. Contact the provider directly to attempt resolution
2. If unresolved, lodge a formal complaint via the Complaint Form
3. E&M will investigate and respond within 24 hours
4. E&M may mediate between parties at our discretion
5. For serious matters, legal recourse through Ugandan courts may be pursued

Account Termination

E&M reserves the right to suspend or terminate listings that:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Receive multiple verified complaints
• Provide false or misleading information
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Harm the reputation or safety of the platform

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Ugandan courts.

The Uganda CIS platform — including its name, branding, design, layout, source code, supplier and pricing database, and all original written content — is the exclusive intellectual property of E&M Construction Supplies LTD. No part of this platform may be copied, reproduced, scraped, reverse-engineered, or used to create a derivative or competing service without our express written permission.

E&M actively monitors for unauthorized use of its platform, branding, and data. Violations will be pursued through takedown requests, cease-and-desist notices, and legal action under applicable Ugandan and international copyright law.
